Default Who is running a 4L60E Trans with 600 RWHP

I am going to be making 460 RWHP on motor & 600+RWHP on a 150 shot of spray.

I have a stage II Phoenix Transmisson now with a PT4400 converter. I have pulled consistant low 1.5 60fts on it with my old setup running a best of 7.24@94 with a 1.51 60ft & was making 400 RWHP then.

So is it possbile to build a 4L60E trans to withstand a beating to this caliber on motor & then also be able to handle a 150 shot of spray on it too. Also I do some racing in mexico on the hwy & run from 60 punchs sometimes too.

Seb

I say absolutely yes. The down shifts on the 60 roll is real hard on these trannies, but IMO they will hold to the power you are going to throw at it.

Are you running a 4L60E on your car James. Man 538 RWHP on motor is insane. I bet you put down some mid to low 10 sec times on motor & on the spray that is insane. If you 4L60E trans is holding at those power levels. I need a trans like yours.

There is a difference between 450 RWHP NA + 150 of nitrous and 600RWHP NA. The automatic transmission will preffer the NA power. I'd say that 600rwhp seems to be the breaking point where you see guys start to swap over to something beefier.
