Exclamation HELP! Torque arm Clamshell bushing unremovable? Picture

Hey Guys,

I my replaced my BMR torque arm with the stock one. I went to install the new clamshell bushing and the bolt wouldn't clear the body for removal. So I removed the driveshaft and transmission crossbrace to lower the transmission and it still wont clear! I let the transmission hang as low as it would on its own. It won't go anylower on its own and I feel like if I force it I will break something. I didn't think it would be some much work to replace this bushing. Do I need to remove the transmission to replace a torque arm bushing!? You can see in the pictures how it is hitting the body and how long the bolt in on the one that needs to go in.

THanks,
Lane

Usually the trans will drop enough if it's not held up by the exhaust.

So you need to jack it up from somewhere other than the tail housing and unbolt the tail housing.
Six bolts.

This thread was a repost from last night while the site was having timeout issues. Good advise although the were a few posts on his other thread. You probably missed it but the info you gave was 100% correct.
