Default Can you still hook after putting in a stall?

I got some nice 245's that hook nicely the way the car is. I'm guessing after adding a 3600 I won't be able to anymore. Does a stall make a huge difference after installing it?

Maybe tell me your before and after stories?

I say you do it just to find out, Then Go with some 315's!!! I have 275's with a 2800 stall, 3:42 gears and they don't do so well. The story before the stall was, they didn't do so well

I have a 3000 stall..I only have 245's in the rear..but it will spin right thru first at anything more than about 1/2 throttle...I have some BFG drag radials that i use at the track..I'm sure they will hook pretty well..but i'm scared to put them on cuz i dont want to blow my rear end up again

My 3600 stall would vaporize my old 275/40/17 street tires anywhere in 1st gear and halfway through 2nd. Now have 315 bfg drags that hook very well on the street. Unless you like smokeshows, you need drag radials with a big stall.

I guess I have severely under estimated the capabilities of a stall. Is there a big write up on exactly everything a stall does for you. I've searched on google and came up short.

Do it..some suspension mods and tires will allow you to hook.

I'm eventually going to get stiffer, lowering springs, along with stiffer shocks in the back with new tires...275-295..somewhere in there. Will this help or make it worse.

At the track, I got a few 1.8-1.9 on my street tires (18" wheels/279 BFG rear tires). At the street, I can't launch pass 1500 rpm w/o spinning.

That will make it worse. Don't expect to hook on stiff suspension because you just won't get the weight transfer needed to do anything.

Well I really want a stall but now I'm not sure if its for me. Not sure I can get the look I want without lowering it and now this is a negative mod for the stall.....

Stall is a blast overall and well worth it regardless! Just don't be thinking you can road race the car with a huge stall because it will break traction very easily.. Just as you can't expect to run 1.5 60' times on stiff lowered suspension. a high rpm stall is more a drag strip mod.. lowered stiff suspension is road racing.

M/T et sr's ??? and you don't really have to do a big burnout to get them to hook. Just a little one and as soon as you see tire smoke haze you're good.
