Default ls1/lt1 tranny but other way around

i know you can use a lt1 tranny with an ls1 by using a crank spacer for the flywheel...]

what about a lt1 motor with a ls1 tranny/converter? can it be done? would i need a bellhousing spacer because the converters too long?

We created a converter so we could do his in our test vehicle. Its was a pain and Im not sure about long term durability , W e sell a converter to go the other way, But I dont know of anyone who sells one to go the way your trying to go, Any particular reason you want to do this?

happened to have a ls1 tranny already built and was considering throwing a stockish cammed lt1 together since ive got everything for an lt1 all id need is cam springs rockers...and ive got another project im working on and im looking at getting this running cheap...and it would be easy with a lt1...

the problem with this is the ls1 converter is too long correct? i was thinking whatever the thickness of the spacer used on the ls1 motor/lt1 tranny i could use the same thinckness for spacing the bellhousing from the back of the motor? would this not work? it woulod make the space between the converter and the flywheel bigger...

Problem is the converter pilot and trust me it takes some considerable modification .
