Default Whine from tailshaft

I had the rear of the car in the air to adjust my panhard rod and center the rear end (had some rubbing issues with my tires>) I had the car in neutral and was turning the tires by hand (car was not running). I noticed that I have a squeeking/whining noise coming from the rear of the transmission, possibly the tailshaft area? I do not hear any noise while driving but perhaps I just can't hear it over the exhaust. Any thoughts? The tranny has 100K on it and performs flawlessly.
