Default How bad is my tranny slipping?

I used the gear calculater and I should be good up to 154 @ 6900rpm in third. I have 3.73s and 28" tires. But at the track I was bouncing off the limiter at 136 and i think my limiter is set at like 7200rpm? If I switch to a th400 and a FI stall, will this cure the problem? Right now I have a stock 4l60e and an ss4000 stall making 682rwhp. I can't change gears because I have a spooled 12 bolt and I want to keep it spooled. Any thoughts?

Your trans is probably not the soure of the loss if it shifts normally through the gears. You could try several of the following to determine this .1- lock the converter up top. 2- If the trans is in good shape and built unit allow the shift to 4th to happen at WOT before you get to top of limiter. Trans would not only tend to slip when you got to a high speed in fact seems it would be more likley to slip at lower speeds during the shift. Converter could be inefficent which is why I suggested the lockup at the top.
