what would be the best way to go????
Would it be better to buy a build 4l60e or try to buy a kit to rebuild mine, do they make kits you can buy to make them hold alot of power?

The best advice I cangive you goes like this....
If you have to ask then you should not try to build it and expect it to live. If you have reasonable expectations about your skill level and the degree of difficulty, then go for it.
Hope that makes sense.

WhatI tell people is if your not well experinced only attempt to build one yourself under the following conditions
1-You want to learn
2-You are in no hurry and do not need the car
3-You are not doing it to try and save money because many times it will cost as much or more than a built one.
4-You are very patient.

Hard question. Depends on his ability, There are also warranty as mentioned to be considered. Hard call . I would say I would just get a built one but then I would be considered bias trying to sell one but if you feel comfortable with the guy and think if there are indeed god forbib issues he will work with you it may be fine to go that way. In anycase if you need anything even tech help if he builds it just give us a call.
