Default Rattling noise

O.K. got the tranny rebuilt with some hardened clutches and now I hear a kinda vibrating/grinding noise like an exhaust rattle but not from inside the car only after it warms up and in reverse or a forward gear but not so much in neutral or park. Please help I am lost. Had a 3200 vig in it thinking might be the problem.

mine ended up being the rear planetary exploding. but look at your exhuast and how close it is to the floorboard. the car being in drive or reverse makes the engine torque a certain way and could just be enough for the exhuast to bang. start simple and easy, and then once you checked over everything, start diggin deep. it saves yourself alot of money if you do it that way lol.

If you have a TCI flexplate, it may be the powdercoating coming off and allowing the bolts to have slack in them. If you are running a stock flexplate, you probably have a crack. Either way it needs to be checked before you drive it or it can get ugly.
