Default Installing aftermarket shifter...Help!

I installed my TH400 w/ reverse pattern valvebody, I bought a new aftermarket shifter. Now the problem I am having is this. The stock shifter has a long black switch mounted on the side of it, saftey switch etc. The new shifter is not going to have this but the car will not start with out it plugged in. The wires are as follows from top to bottom.

Dark green
Purple w/white tracer
Light green
Brown
Orange w/ black tracer
Black w/white tracer

What needs to be tied togather/or jumped togather on the plug, for the car to start? Any help would be awsome. Thanx

Yeah it works nicely in my car, but the **** has been replaced with a T handle with a built in trans brake button.
