Default P1810 Code. Overfilled?

I installed a rebuilt trans about 3 months back and have had no problem with it till tonight. It is throwing an P1810 Manifold pressure code. The shifts are all off if manually shifted. With 1st selected it will shift into second. in third it will hang in second till you let off. in drive it is better but the lockup cluch acts up. I understand that if it has the wrong pressure or a false signal shifts will be off. Fluid has a good color but a slight burnt smell. It did slip bad in 2nd right before it set the code.

My question is the trans is about 3/4 to 1 quart overfull. Might this be a cause? Also with switch it this on the valve body? Also my trans builder says a 1810 is a manual valve position swith problem not a pressure is there any truth to this?
