Default shift kits

I have a camaro with 3.73's and stock stall. It has 340 rwhp and 350 rwtq. I am running 12.70's right now. The car has 60k on it. I drive the car around on the street a lot, but I am also in a high school bracket racing class on tuesday nights. My friend has a 99 formula with 65k on it and same mods and his 2-3 clutch pack burned up. I was wondering if a transgo shift kit would help prevent the burning up of my transmission. Also, with a transgo, will the car still shift by itself?

the transgo hd2 is what most people use on here b/c it is a really good kit. you can hold 1,2,and3 to any rpm and downshift at any rpm and yes it will retain full auto function in D or OD

Trans cooler is a must, bigger the better.

Some people have different driving habbits and burn up transmissions faster than others. I've been through 2 stock gm rebuild 4l60e's and 1 high dollar built 4l60e from a sponsor on here. None of them lasted more than a year.
