Default Need *SERIOUS* flexplate help guys

I seem to be stuck with a 99-00 6.0 crank in my car that is ~ 1/4 longer than all of the other standard 6.0 cranks. My TCI LS1 flexplate sticks off the engine too far for the starter. The trucks ALL use the exact same starter. What SFI flexplate will solve this problem???? Thanks for the MUCH NEEDED help!

The problem you have is you really have an odd ball crank in your car. Are you using the 4l60e? If so I believe that you will have to get a different crank from what I found on from doing a search on PTN. Most guy's stay clear of that year for just that reason. That crank I believe was used with 4l80e transmissions only in those years. Here is the link of multiple searches over there. http://www.performancetrucks.net/for...archid=1105351

I will keep this thread in mind if I find a solution. Please post up if you find one as well. Vince

EDIT Make sure you do not have an adapter on that crank. Also most info that I have read leads me to believe that a flexplate swap is not going to fix your problem. The converter will be the next issue.

No love yet. 10+ hours of brainstorming and machine work on the components today and still haven't solved the puzzle.
