Converter Question
Since I have a 350 turbo and a 98 flexplate could I run a stall converter meant for a th350 and a chevy small block small bolt pattern? Could someone please explain to me what exactly is the difference between a th350 converter not made for an ls1 and one for a ls1 if there is any please... `

Well I have been wanting to try running a bigger stall but the only other stalls I could use are intended for a old school small block, but I just found JW Bells crank adapter to fit a old school flexplate on our motors...

If you are converting an LS style engine to run an TH350/400/PG then you need 2 things. A new flex-plate and a pilot adapter. I think the 98's actually have the right bolt circle, but anything newer will require a new flex-plate. The adapter just lengthens the pilot so it engages in the crank. If you get a converter built for a LS engine, the adapter is not necessary, it is already long enough. The pilot should stick out past the pads of the converter about 1/2".
