Default Part throttle shifting...

I just had a built 60e installed. Just normal take off from a stop sign it shifts into second at like 1700 rpm and around 6 mph. Then shifts into drive around 15 mph. Is this normal or is something off?

Would depend on your gear ratio in rear and of course if theres a cam that can affect things to. Did you do any other changes when you installed new trans? The 4L60E shift time is strictly a matter of programing , It can only do whats its told so not likely a trans issue per say but more likely a tuning issue if theres a issue at all , Would need to know a little more about the swap and your car , That does seem a little low though IMO

I have 3.73 gears and a 224 cam. I was thinking it might be a tuning issue. Just checking to see what some other people thought. Thanks!

Yes early shifts are a tuning issue but beware early or short shifting can cause undue wear on the trans so I would get it corrected ASAP
