Default Looking to get a stall soon......questions??

Within the next few weeks I'm looking to get a stall. I'm not sure which company and model to go with so I'm asking you guys for help. What I want in a stall is one that will get my 60' down to at least 1.8 instead of the 2.0. I also want a stall that feels as close to stock as possible because my car is a daily driver. And last but not least I'm willing to spend between 600 and 700 bucks for my perfect stall. One last thing ....how much does a stall usually cost to get installed because this is something I can't do myself.

Not an impossible feat, but to do correctly you're gonna have difficulties with that price range. The stall can be had for that, but you're going to want to do a shift kit as well, and a cooler for sure.

If you go for the stall, at least do the cooler with it. You're tranny will thank you for it. Not sure on install price because I did mine myself.

for a DD get a vig 3200-3600 stall. AND get a tranny cooler. you can get a vig for around the price you stated. For installation look to spend $300-550 because they should tune it a little for the new stall.

Buy a quality converter or you will doing a converter and trans when the cheap converter eats itself. Yanks and Precision Industries are both excellant.

From what I've read I'm going with the Yank or Vig 3200-3500 stall with a tranny cooler and the transgo hd2 shift kit. Now i have to find a installer near by. Not to many places around here that I trust. I would hate to get it installed at the dealership.

Why not do it yourself? They're really not that tough to do as long as you have access to some hand tools, a jack, and some stands.

Yank SS3600 w/ derale cooler w/ fan and thermostat.

Also I've never done one, seen one done or anything. I pulled up a tech article and did it. Only thing I had to buy was a swivel socket and 24" extension. You dont need a tranny jack either. Just a floor jack with a peice of wood on it. Just grab a buddy and get a FAQ and your good to go.

I didn't have any of that either except for tools. I'm in the process of doing mine right now, just waiting on my new converter to get here then it all goes back in. Seriously man save yourself some money and try it yourself. If u have any questions just ask on here. You can do it.

as far as the shift kit......better call around first. i found out the hard way that most shops dont want to disassemble a worn tranny without rebuilding it. one shop told me.... 100k? **** you are lucky it held up this long. i cant put a 100k 4l60 back together without rebuilding it. period. they wouldnt touch it.
