Default Tranny Pan Problems

Well I was pulling my tranny pan off when I noticed that my deep pan wont slip out. The only way I could see to take it off was to take my Y-pipe off or to take the shift cable unit off??? The hanes manuel i have said to take the cable off and I could not find the bolts to take it off??? does anyone have some experience with this problem before lol
I felt like a dumbass taking the pan off to just put it right back on lol

take the shift cable off and bend the bracket away from the pan with a pry bar, then take the pan loose and out as much as you can, and pry down on the y-pipe and pull the pan out... It doesn't need much to get it out.
