Default Trans Install

I have a 98 z28. The trans went bad at about 50k and at the time I had it rebuilt by AAMCO which didn't help at all. Same problems before I took it in so I wasted a couple thousand dollars on that. I would like to buy a quality trans for the car because it is barely driveable anymore. Any suggestions on where to take the car and new trans to have it installed?

By the way, the car makes a loud clunk when I shift from P to D or R to D. While driving it feels like it sits on a gear for an extra five seconds or so. Could this be a different problem from the transmission?

You need some good advice... why don't you p.m. me or give e a call on Monday.

There are lot's of options for you. But the last thing you want to do is to pay goo money again and wind up with a crappy build again.
