Get as big of a transmission cooler as you can fit. I went to a local auto parts store and got a 30k Hayden cooler for only $53.

I've read that for a 3000 stall or less you don't need a tune or anything, but fine tuning your computer to perform to its fullest is always a good idea.

i would get a tune, cooler, new filter and fluid of course, possibly a temp gauge and deep trans pan down the line.

don't you need a tune before you go worrying about a converter?
