Default dexron 3 / type 3 (H) tranny fluid

as i was filling my tranny up (th-400) , i noticed that i was using two different kinds of fluid , the first was ac delco dexron III / mecron , and the other was ac delco type III H .

my question is , is there any harm in mixing them ? and can i just drain the oil out and just run dexron stuff only after what i done?

i heard something way back that if you use one kind of fluid , you can't swap to the other or else the clutch material will start flaking off. is that true?
