Exclamation Hard to spin torque converter

i just got my transmission a couple of days ago and when i put the converter in, it is really hard to spin the converter even when it isn't in the car...the converter is all the way in, it turn maybe an inch but then it is to hard to spin to get the bolts on. (it is not touching the flywheel either)

is this normal or should i have it looked at
