GM Starting To Get Serious About Interior Design
http://www.leftlanenews.com/2007/02/...r-innovations/
I'm inclined to DISAGREE with LLN here and say that there really isn't anything too innovative in terms of industry firsts (sans maybe the LCD screen in place of the rear view mirror) but some of this stuff is pretty nifty. Thank God GM continues to work on removing its head from its *** as you NEED to go the extra mile these days in terms of design in order to compete. The little details like that ubernifty Buick key fob add to the allure of a car brand. That Buick steering wheel looks like it was inspired by the steering wheels in various Holdens (which is a good thing BTW) but I'm a little put off by that iDrive/MMiish looking thing on the center stack in the 4th picture as I'm not too big a fan of iDrive.
Kudos to GM for really making an effort here and taking cues from their Holden brand and NOT feeling a need to outright ripoff the industry standard setting Audi when it comes to interiors.
Sorry, I tried to post the images but typical LLN they don't allow direct linking.
*Edit* You have to love autoblog for their image hosting.

Not bad.
For once I think we both like the same thing.
