Getting new tires.Some tire questions??
I am going to be buying a set of tires soon and
i have some questions?
what is a good size thats wider than and not so tall?
and also i want a sticky tire for traction a dr is fine for the rear.
im more of a stright line driver not so much with the truns.
any ideas? pics would be Great!!
anything has gotta be better than the tires i have now (riken raptors)

I run 245/40 18 in front and 275/35 18 in rear on the stock wheels. I currently run the Nitto Invos and love them.
The 275 adds a nice aggressive look from the rear.
This shows the sidewall of the 275 on the stock wheel.

I like the how 275/35/18's look.
could i run a 275 all the way around without rubbing or looking stupid?
how is the traction with the nittos?
anyone have the bfg kdw nt's? how do you like them?
i was looking on discount tire and the invos are the same price as the kdw nt's
i love the tread on the kdw's
is the nitto a better tire or is the bfg?

I would HIGHLY suggest the Nittos. The Invo is a great tire as is the NT05. I went with the Invo due to the slightly better tread life. I stayed away from the BGF KDWs because I dont like the look of the sidewall on our cars and have heard that their road noise is a bit loud.
I would not do 275 in front. 245s in front are a perfect match for 275s in the rear.
Here are the two Nittos I would recommend. I also included the BFG for comparison.

I haven't seen any of the acc wheels that have been pc'd....God knows it would have to help...They are FUGLY to me, but that's just my opinion and we all know that's not worth much.....I have to say I'll be going with the Nitto's myself...I wish I'd kept the RE-11's that I bought and sold but the chance to make a couple hundred bucks was too hard to resist, now I need tires again.

not as much a size comment, but check out the Hankook Ventus Evo tires, they get great reviews, i have them on my car now, and they work great, and look good.
I try to autocross my car at least once a month, and they were a nice improvement over the stock tires (what's not though...)
But the price is right, and the performance is great.

i have Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500.
245/45 in from and 275/40 in the back. i love the tires, not as good Nitto Invos, but did the trick for 800 bucks for all 4 mounted and balanced with Road Hazard warranty on them. Fronts are $161 and rears are $170 on tirerack.
not a picture i took, dont have any of those. but this is the way the 245s look and the 275 have a second center water channel.
