Default Auto lights issue/function

Hey guys!

I have a question about the Auto lights function:

If i turn the lights to the Auto Position, then they must go on at low outside lights likes a tunnel or it become dark in the evening and they shut off, if i stop the engine and turn the key off and put him out of the key hole, right?

But it doesnīt work so, lights were still on in Auto Position, equal if itīs bright enough outside or i take the key out of his hole, lights were on until the battery saver will come on, is it a question of a Settings somewhere in a personal menu or is it a worn light sensor in the dash Panel?

But if itīs dark enough outside and the lights are in off popstion, it comes the message "headlamps suggested", also he works, i canīt explain me, how it works?!

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Ronald

If the light sensor was to blame, I would suspect you'd get the "headlamps suggested" message with the lights in the off position during the daytime.
