Default What to look for buying a used V

Hi all:

First post here but I've been in the community for years. I am looking to be picking up an 09 CTSV in the next couple of days and I'm wondering if there are any common problems to look for before I take ownership? Any red flags? I have not yet had a chance to look under the car.

I'm sure theres probably a bunch of threads and on half a dozen other forums I'd probably start flaming myself, but I swear I searched and did not find anything that answered what i needed. If there is, please just shoot me a link.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure the second generation V has a lot of chronic problems other than stuff covered by recalls. Also, this forum is probably 80% first gen V owners, so your tips may be slow to trickle in. Good luck

Other than copious amounts of tires and fuel, they seem to be pretty solid.

I'm coming from a high-power supra so that's just par for the course.

I would say watch out for guys that have modded the **** out of them, and returned to stock(ish) to sell....it seems to be common these days....lots of "demodding" sales.
