Well, I'm hoping I finally figured this out today. I put in a new sensor and triple checked the wiring and found the wires at the sensor were backward. Since I have the extension harness and the metal extension piece on the front cover. So sensor/connector 6" extension/connector 36" extension/car connector.

If it's not fixed now I'm afraid I'm going to have to put this bitch to pasture.

Only thing I can figure is the original sensor I bought with the ls2 style cover was bad. Then I switched the wires even though they were correct. So....will report back lol. Eventually.
