No, I haven't called them because I haven't had any interest in doing a swap like this. I hope I didn't come off as an *** with my earlier statement, I'm just saying that people have attempted before and quit due to space limitations.

If RPM has done one for anyone, the customer wasn't interested in sharing what they had done. I do understand that not everyone takes their car builds to the internet.

Maybe I'll call them today just for the heck of it.

interesting... putting an auto in a CTS-V.

I just dont know why anyone would. It HAS TO be expensive (5-8k easy). Why not just buy a G8 GT?

Why not just leave the manual in? The car is SO much more fun that way. I am not arguing the performance factor, I just don't care if I'm a tenth faster and am just pointing the car in the right direction. I don't own a go cart for a reason...

No problem When I did speak with them they told me they have done an A4 conversion, that i remember. IIRC, the price was 5-6K, in that range including the trans.

Let's us know waht they say.

IMO, the reason to go for the V over the G8 is the NAV w 6cd. OTOH, the G8 has a stronger rear and a 6 speed already. But the V looks killer.

I have not but we were the first to do a 4l80e in a C6Z06. It looks 100% stock. Ide deff be willing to do one. Not sure on cost at the moment.

To be honest I'm somewhat interested. I bet with the sale of my trans, shifter, etc the cost wouldn't be too terrible...I guess its the choice between a drag car or a road course/auto-x car..

big decision and an expensive one to do without being sure due to the fact its gonna require a lot of customizing that will be ahrd to reverse if you wanna go back to a 6speed. i like the idea and think the car would be a ton faster with an auto but just not as versatile.

BTW what kind of tranny would you put in it? 4l60e? th400? might as well build it before you put it in.
