Got the V to the track, almost met my goal.
Got the V to the track for the first time and I came pretty close to my goal of 13's. Right now only mods are Volant intake, modified stock shifter and magnapacks. The back tires are pretty worn and are the crappy goodyears. So I will be getting some new Nitto NT555 275/40's on the back. I have a x-pipe to go inplace of the resonator and then it will be going to SlowHawk to get tuned. So after that the V should easily do mid 13's with similar DA and track conditions. Below are my two good passes.
This was my first pass. I just slipped the clutch off the line and got my best 60ft of the night. But my shifts wernt great and its to bad the V needs 4th gear about 150ft from the end of the 1/4 mile.
60ft - 2.1953
1/8 - 9.1965
MPH - 77.19
1000ft - 11.8265
1/4 - 14.0480
MPH - 103.66
Then I did a few test lauches and found if I did anything besides slip the clutch off the line I just hopped and spun. So below was my last pass slipping the clutch again.
60ft - 2.2232
1/8 - 9.2303
MPH - 79.97
1000ft - 11.8394
1/4 - 14.0614
MPH - 101.01
My launch wasnt as good as the first pass but my shifts were better and my MPH in the 1/8 was 2.78 faster. So I think I was on track for a 13 second pass. But like I said 4th is needed right before the end of the 1/4 and I tried to run it out in 3rd. Hit rev limiter and then shifted to 4th. So I ended up losing MPH in the 1/4 2.65. So next time I will be in there.
But anyway the DA didnt help me tonight either it was 3273.
So here is the corrected time for the better 14.0480 @103.66 pass.
Corrected Time:
Stock and Mildly Modified Naturally Aspirated Engines
13.492 @ 108.006 MPH

holy DA batman!! I would be depressed if I had to run in that kind of air. We regularly see right about 0 DA and on good days we get down to -2000ft da.
I put my stock GMC HD 4 door into the 15s on one of those nights. In bad weather it ran low 17's as a comparison..lol.
