Default nagging feeling

I recently made a thread about getting some work done to my V.

I had a local shop install my UUC engine mounts before going to lindsay. They didnt install them with the OEM heat shields... I didnt know to ask for this.

Is anyone running the UUC mounts without heat shields?

If so have you noticed any problems?

Does anyone make aftermarket shields if I want to be safe...

The more I think about this more I fidget over it and I just want to make sure my car is going to be safe.

-Thanks!

i have UUC, but i have the shop that did mine installed heat shields and wrapped them without me asking them to do so. if you are planning on doing LTs, you will need the heat shields. there is only so much heat that the poly will hold up to before failure.

i dont thing there is any aftermarket companies that make just heat shields. but i know CS make them for their mount, and you may be able to buy those from them. also, you could just buy stock ones from a parts store.

IMO, you will need the heat shield and wrapping them wont hurt either.
