Default Michelin PS2 vs. Potenza RE11 tires

Was wondering if anybody has replaced their stock 285/ 35/ 19 Michelin PS2 tires with the 285/ 35/ 19 Potenza RE 11 tires ?

If so, would be interested in hearing feedback whether good, bad or indifferent.

BTW, the RE11's are about $200 cheaper than the Michelin PS2 per tire!

Also interested, I've heard really good things about the RE11's.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I could justify spending ~$500 per tire for the PS2s. The RE-11s are one of the top 2 or 3 tires in the street tire classes at the national level for SCCA auto-cross. I don't think anybody runs the PS2 at the national level - they're just too damn expensive, and a number of significantly cheaper tires out-perform the PS2s.

In addition to the RE-11s I would also look at the Continental ExtremeContact DW, which is even cheaper than the RE-11, should last longer, and also out-performs the PS2.

Have you looked into the new pilot super sport? They replaced the PS2. Supposed to handle better with better tread life.

Michelin Super Sports are not made in the stock size needed, which is 285/35/19 !

Go for the Potenza's they're pretty good tires, I say that from experience.

Thanks. Just ordered a set. Should be an interesting comparison after the PS2.
