Default Cam Install DONE...

so far im pretty happy with what I get out of it. It pulls way better than it did before, even down low.

222/224 112 LSA
LS7 lifters
dual valve springs
high flow oil pump
titanium pushrods

The only thing i'm a little concerned about is it has a tiny bit of trouble for a split second starting. You think that is because of the 112? Or does that happen with all lopey cammed cars. Once everything kicks on it's fine. Idle's at 900, no thrown codes.

The thing that sucks is my installers welder went down so he couldnt do my headers. : /

Next thing on the list,Upper LS3 swap. After multiple hours of reading LS2 swaps to LS3, I think that's the way to go. Especially with a smaller cam.

If this video sucks. Sorry; it was from my iphone

Looks like the hose collapsed. You should replace it.

Sounds good for a small cam, i have to ask though? Why bother pulling the heads to do lifters cam only with such a tiny cam?

And ls3 swap your gonna have to swap cams out again cause those L92s flow way to well for that size cam.

Cant wait to see some numbers, the idle is worth the money in itself isnt it lol.

What size cam were u thinking with an ls3 setup. I searched for hours and saw countless people say that they used 218/220..... Etc sized cams and they pulled better than a cam in the range of 228/232

That cam was spec'd by JR performance engines. The plan prior was to mill my ls2 heads with this cam setup. He says it's nothing crazy. But very aggressive for street performance wise and they have gotten good numbers out of the setup. Will L92's flow way more than milled ls2 heads?

The cam is tuned as we speak. But he's gonna re-tune for headers next week when we get them on

L92 will definetly outflow 243s, milling 243s just bumps the compression. ported 243s still wont compete with l92s and itll cost more to port the 243s.

Yeah. That's why I wanted the ls3 swap. I'm gonna go by and ask him. My installer and Dyno guy is different than the guy that specs my crap out

Does ur car kinda stutter for a slight second when you start it? The map sensor code comes on every now and then. But it goes away

nah that shouldnt have anything to do with it, the cam in my mustang is a 234/246 .601 .606 on a 112 and it fires right up no problem.

It's throwing a code for the MAP sensor and running like **** so im taking it back tomorrow..... I wish it would just work fine; haha. It's almost died on my like twice, once it did. When I push in the clutch and stop at a stoplight the RPM's are all over the place.

Sounds tune related eh?
