Default Went to the 1/4 mile last night....

Ive wanted to run the car a couple times since i got it just to see what it would do. I made it out to whatever the track is called here in indy now last night, and got a couple in. And a couple of the guys from the forums jebfrank, and goat-v from caddy forums were there also. The video is crap and the camera died after my first run... i was beside a damn nova that was more than loud and you couldnt hear anything outta my car besides the 2nd gear sqeek.......If you watch close enough you can see my tail lights flash when i take off because the wheel hop was so horrible......well enjoy

Mods: 1-3/4 pacesetter, orp, magnaflow catback, peak speed ported intake mani, tune. The car made 377hp/374tq

Studies have shown CTS-Vs cut better 60ft times when you don't hit the brakes 10 ft out, lol. Nice runs nonetheless

lol yeah about that..... that would be the reason for no third run, i was too scared of the brake lights comeing on turning into a home ride on a flat bed.....It was pretty bad when i couldnt hear the car but i could hear the wheel hope over that nova....

lolly, as far as rpm i was just going off of sound the second time, first time i think it was between 3500 and 4k, then i tried to feather out of it. We were actually talking about you last night wanting to see you launch that thing with the new rear end.... This was the last weds ill have off for a while...and by the time that comes around again the track will probly be closed. I think jebfrank goes quite often, you'll have to hit him up if you wanna come down in the next couple weeks.

Oh yeah...those runs were on my awsome runflats also, but with 274/35's in the rear...

Nice runs man, but i didnt know they made a 274 wide tire, must be new. lol

I would be too scared to launch any thing higher than 2.5k. I would probably launch at 2k just to be safe, but thats me.

I launched at about 2k and pulled a 13.9 @ 103. Dropped on it's face out of the hole though, so more rpm might help. Of course this was also at Bristol. Altitude kills cars here. 4-5 tenths slower.

It wasn't safe for me LOL

The v's down here were running low to mid 13's last saturday night in cold air bone stock.

Not bad, good numbers!

Yeah those numbers sneak up on ya sometimes...there just so damn close together. I need one of those jitterbug phones.....that way the numbers are huge and have some space between them. lol

Thanks guys, i was pretty proud of the times. Im sure i could have got down to a 13.0 on the next run but i was just to scared to hurt the rear end. Its not makeing any noise yet and i wanted to keep it that way. Im gonna order some g-force axles here hopefully soon and maybe ill take it again if the track is still open.

Well sorry I missed you guys. I'm still nervous for some reason about taking the V to the track, but I guess there's only one way to find out what she'll do. lol.

I just bought new KDW's all around, and don't think those would help on the track.

I'm trying to find some good used drag radials on the cheap, and it's becoming a dead end. I can get some MT's, but at $250 ea.....geesh. If anybody can point me in the right direction, by all means....

Have you checked craigslist? Or racing junk.com? Sometime you can find deals on there.
