Default Anyone use the GEN1V Bolt-in Diff brace?

Highly considering getting one of these braces after dealing with parade clunking/ rubber banding. Was wondering if anybody had any positive experiences with these or if anyone has an old one to sell.

I unfortunately don't use facebook. Can you give me an idea on what it really helps out with? My other concern is that its going to be too firm and cause issues.

Hi, I make these braces. I never had a problem with my car and so far ( knock on wood) it’s been nearly 2 years I’ve been making them with no customer issues either. I have two products, the TAB (trailing arm brace) which helps reduce the wheel hop that abuses the diff, and the diff brace that adds strength and reinforcement so the diff can take more abuse. They work great together or separately, but each do different jobs. There are lots of reviews out on Facebook but I know you said you don’t use it. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Thanks!
Mark

Thanks for your reply Mark. The purpose of this thread was to get peoples opinion on what they felt improved with the brace. I get that it strengthens it, but I was wondering how it affected peoples drive lines.

I have it but now I need to replace the drive shaft bearing. I also added the CS trans mount. however its been so long I do not remember what it was like without them. I think it is an important upgrade at least until the 8.8 is in reach.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Thats what I want to hear. Did it change any noises or clunk for you or anything like that?

The clunk I have is from the DS bearing but I haven't noticed it much recently (since the new transmission). I have not had any wheel hop issues but I only had drag radials on for a short while. The tires I have on it now and the roads around here do not stick to each other.

Sounds like you've got a pretty built setup compared to mine haha. Have you got transzilla or just a new trans?

No I looked at it, but I had Texas Drivetrain performance build me a T-56 with the 2.66 gears (stage 2 he claims good for 650hp). It was less expensive, the transzilla uses a lot of T6060 parts.

Love my 1BADCTS brace. I pop the clutch with more reassurance that my diff won’t grenade. It does add a little more cabin noise but worth it.

Pulled the trigger on the brace setup - looking forward to replacing the J-hook brace I have in there now. it was better than nothing but not by a lot and made a ton of noise back there.

Will do - The brace arrives late this week and should go in immediately. This will be some nice insurance for my new motor setup. Looking forward to dyno numbers on it this week. Anticipation is killing me.

Default Apparently Diff braces don’t help if it’s already eaten itself

On the bright side the brace setup looks really nice and came with good instructions. Unfortunately when draining the fluid lots of fuzzies came out along with a couple 1/2” square chunks of steel.... Doh - now off to find a rebuilder, new, or SRX diff.
