Launching!
So spend $1200 and buy a new gen 4 diff from gmparts. Seams like an easy cheap fix if you dont beat on it.

I blew my diff 2 days after I bought the car in 2010. Bitch grenaded on me in second gear with my dad telling me how great of a car it was lol. Warranty replaced it and towed it and what not, but if I could do it again I'd go with something more reliable. Like a c6 or a c5z

Performance wise, I freaking love the car as a daily. As far as fit and finish.. its nasty, in a bad way. I think for high teens you can't beat the v1 if you are a performance guy looking for a good daily and something kind of nice. I'm going to daily mine for a few more years then switch over to a v2 wagon most likely. Easier to justify to the old lady and is very practical for kids and pets and can still be taken out with boys on Saturday for a little fun.
