i just sent my stock one back as i stole a core from their inventory for a few weeks.

so far so good on the poly carrier unit. it's only been a handful of days, but the clunking when pushing in the clutch pedal is greatly diminished since the stock carrier bearing isn't flopping around anymore. now it's just the stock dual mass flywheel that's banging around. i also haven't heard any squealing like the old one did and those two big ticket items combined are a huge weight off my shoulders as far as me being in love with this car. it just feels tighter and more refined. you know, how it should have been from the factory.

A+ upgrade for anyone still running a stock driveshaft that's reaching some high mileage.

Me too! I'm picking my car up today from the shop so should have the core in the mail tomorrow/Friday.

I placed an order yesterday to snag one of the cores that is coming back, so I'll be doing this in the near future. Sounds like I have the same clunking you were hearing, so I'm really hoping this fixes most (if not all) of that.

We actually have two cores in stock, just no carriers to go on them. Our current batch had some quality control issues and have to be reprocessed. We are expected to be in stock by the 28-30th. Sorry for the delay guys!

Update: We will be conducting new testing phases on the solid 50a polyurethane. Several factors the last go of testing were causing issues but they turned out not to be carrier related.

What? lol.. there is absolutely nothing wrong with our 30a units, they are fabulous. But they are tricky to manufacture and most of our delay times are due to quality control and bonding failure due to the poly being soft. The 50a is much much easier to manufacture.

so what's going to be the pro/con with the 30A or 50A units? when the 30A is doing the job its intended to do...what's the purpose of going more solid?

Post 287 says it. And when I say bonding failure I mean during casting of the parts, so they don't pass inspection. ... Not on the car.

The pro/con will be, if the 50a is doing exactly the same job and as well as the 30a... We can benefit by less delay and less wasted product during manufacturing. No loss or gain on the consumer side.

Actually it means maybe we can keep the price from going up. It's raising $20 in two weeks, due to price increases in manufacturing. I fought it but didn't win. :/

Do you have any cores yet? If not, what is the lead time looking like? If I can't sell the V this is one of my next mods. I have to get a few cars out of the way but once I am done with these builds I will have another car to drive for a while.

I believe we have one or two in stock. Due to a nasty blizzard, I am homebound today.
