Brian, will a stock length boot work with a shorter/aftermarker shifter and V2 ****? I'm almost positive it will, but I don't want to be "that guy" and end up not using it haha.

i have on order a shorter (1.5" shorter) version for the hurst setup. that's why i'll have a stock length one to pawn off. i have no idea if it would work for any of the other short shifters, though.

The standard length one is good for aftermarket short shifters. However, when using the Hurst shifter with the chrome stalk, the 1.5" shorter one fits/looks better. I currently have three standard length alcantara ones with silver stitching left.

If you still have a standard length alcantra with silver stitching I will take it. Will be looking to do the Hurst shifter w/ modified stalk & V2 shift **** in the next few months.

Got mine installed and am just getting ready to go on a drive. So far I love the boot but the way the **** secures (or doesnt) is weak. I ended up wrapping a zip tie around it instead of the old o ring. We will see what happens down the road I suppose!

Fitment, shape and quality is superb!! I also used some binder clips and did not glue anything, once the silver bezel goes on it is pretty well secured.

I just drove the car for about 25 minutes and all I have to say is Wow. I've bugged Brian on getting the right feel on this shifter for a long time. I've gone through quite a bit of shifter mods. Now it's perfect. For me anyways.

I love the hurst setup but never liked the stalk and ****. So brian modified the 5th gen camaro stalk to work on hurst. After a few month of that with my V2 ****, it was too short. I tried different offsets on the stalks and everything but didn't like it. Also the shifts took a bit of effort which was fine for me. Now brian had me hooked up on a modified 5th gen top stalk that is approx. 1 inch longer. So with my redline boot and the new stalk it is buttery smooth but crisp at the same time.

I owe brian quite a few beers....
