If we are settled on the #4 hood, we do also need to provide measurements for where the cowling should begin and cowling width. The EForce kit causes clearance issues for the throttle body and front corners of the blowers. If the cowling starts too far back and/or the cowling is too narrow this hood won't help. I know everyone is not running an EForce but most who are have expressed interest in this hood.
As far as cowl height what neighborhood are most of you guys interested in? 4" in front sloping to 2.5"-3" in the rear?

Here is my thought... I personally like 7... but extreme composites makes one. Ive spoke to them before and to do a slight design change, he would want 10 to 15 people. How about everyone for 7 gets EC hoods and we ask for a little more and get a prototype for fitment and you guys get the ball rolling for number 4. If number 4 happens and appealing on their prototype we can all see an actual fitment. Some of us #7 guys may lean toward an actual picture of the #4 hood. Im bias on 7 simply because ive seen it and like it... building one from scratch may help and gives a price between the two hoods. A side note is that im told the stock hood is lighter than the extreme composite hood.
Think business... extreme composites is cornering the aftermarket hoods as other good choices are discontinued. I think we all would like it to be vented... clearanced for superchargers and high rise intakes. We all are looking for heat extraction and clearance... package it with good asthetics and you will have a group buy.

We'll get it made, just need to make sure if we make it look like #4 posted here that it is what people want for sure. Also need to know if that design would clear a blower too since it would benefit both sides.

We had bad weather last night/this morning so I only got to get some very quick measurements. For the EForce blower you can cut the inner layer of the hood so that it clears (by around a 1/16" at the throttle body). So really this hood is just adding to the clearance (which will allow folks like me to run the phenolic spacer under the blower to keep blower temps down). The three high spots are the throttle body and the corners of the blower itself (see pics below).
Distance from the TB to the blower corners
Width of blower.
Some of the guys managed to cut the beauty covers included in the kit and make them fit. By the time mine fit they really looked odd so I ditched them. I will be putting a beauty cover over the front portion of the blower that would likely take up an addition 3" towards the throttle body (no additional width).
So the distance from the TB to the blower is roughly 10". The width of the blower is 15" and it IS positioned in the center of the engine bay.
The main measurement you need from here, I think, is the location of the TB from the tip of the hood. From memory it was about 12 3/4" but I really need to do a better job measuring it. I'll get that and verify all of the others tonight unless we get more tornados.
