Wanted to buy: Two good used catalytic converters for V1
I have a friend who is getting a code on her car ('04 CTS V) that indicates the cats are bad. I have changed out all 4 sensors ( pre and post cats) and check engine light still comes on. Wanted to see if anyone has a good used set she could buy from someone who has a set sitting around.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

I see you live in FL, gut the cats with a long drill bit and tune/ turn off the rear O2 sensors.
God bless the great state of Florida and their disregard for vehicle inspections.
I have a set of cats forsale aswell... but louder is better.

How much would you want for the cats? My friend ( female) does not want a loud car. Did you feel any gain by gutting out the cats? I might sell her mine then take and gut hers and do the tune you mentioned. As long as its not abnoxiously loud.

If the rest of her exhaust is stock the volume won't significantly be affected. The tone may be a little deeper though and the lope of the cam would be more apparent (yes, even stock), but those are good things.
The worst part of gutting the cats would be the smell.
I also have a pair of stock cats in the garage with about 100k on them. They were fine when removed when I installed long tubes.
