I haven't gotten the recall in the mail either. But i did replace my lines with girodisc lines back when i did V2 caliper swap. If i do get the recall in the mail I will submit for the reimbursement.

Mine goes in on Tuesday for the Fuel Pump. The service person pointed out these recalls.

1. #15149 Front brake hose fitting corrosion
2. #14172 unintended key rotation
3. #14405 vehicle hesitation or stall

They did bleed mine down, but not by much. I still have some nasty looking fluid in the reservoir. but it is a lighter shade of nasty now.

I wonder what their policy is if the customer has a specific brand/type of fluid that they use. Does the customer have to bring in their own (at their expense)? I think they should buy me a bottle of Amsoil, since that's what they'll be bleeding out of it...

Great! My front passenger blew at coupling in traffic Friday @ 500 in downtown ATl! Saved her with the floor brake, paid big money at GM to get fixed. Think they will cover bill?

I believe they should be covering the bill depending on what all you had done. They will most likely just cover lines + labor.

Dealer told me to bring in my girodisc brake line receipt and they'll issue me a refund and close out my Vin on the recall notice.

Took my '05 in to one of the biggest Cadillac dealers in the Midwest. Went to pull my car out after recall and turned directly back into their lot. The pedal is mushy as heck. They gave an ATS with 800 miles and are going to bleed it more. Second time I had to take it back after a recall A heat shield was rattling loudly after the fuel pump recall.

Which dealer? I'm scheduled to drop mine off next week in Schaumburg for both recalls.

Shepel in Merriville, IN. They bled it more and said there was air in it. I wonder if they only bled one side of each caliper? It's working fine now. The advisor never really did tell me sorry.

Can any GM dealer pay out the reimbursement program or does it have to be a Cadillac dealer ?

Does any one even know how much the stock brake lines cost? I mean, seems shisty that some are just trying to get money from GM. I replaced them with an upgraded brakeline before they failed, does that mean I can try and get $ for that? Really?

Now unless you truly had the lines replaced with stockers, by a shop, that you didn't put on yourself.......then i could understand.

i dont see the issue with this. i personally had mine fail while driving and it could have gotten real ugly and i had my 2 kids in the car. i was able to stop at the light and limp home. so what if i got upgraded lines over stock. i shouldn't have needed them anyway if they were not engineered improperly. my time is worth money just like any techs time is. so if i or anyone puts in a request for reimbursement i see no reason that it is not warranted.

you say its shisty. i say having the pedal go to the floor with my 2 kids in the back and the low brake fluid warning come up as a light turns red is kinds shisty as well.

just my .02

I just got my reimbursement cheque in the mail from the dealership. It took about a week and a half to get approved and mailed out.

Went to pick up my car today after having the front lines replaced at the dealer along with the fuel pump recall. Dropped off the loaner, hopped in the V, pedal goes 3/4 of the way to the floor. Tried pumping, drove towards the exit of the parking lot, soft pedal. Turned around and went back inside. The tech who worked on it is obviously off for Memorial Day weekend and won't be back until Tuesday. Oh well, I guess I get to beat on the 2015 ATS a little longer.

After getting the run around from three different cadillac dealers on reimbursement for the goodridge front brake lines my check came today. One dealer even said I had to bring the car in and they had to order new lines and they had to replace the lines I just replaced.

thats terrible. i just had to sign that i was cool with the racingbrake.com lines i had put on so the GM cant get sued if i wreck it due to failure. i am waiting for my check in the mail so i can use the money for a cam or maybe labor to put the cradle bushings and balancer i have sitting in my kitchen on. so 2 weeks to wait for free mods.
