Default *** Important info for those going to run a Super Victor carb intake P/N 28097 ***

Just to save you some headache; the Edelbrock catalog, website, the Summit website, and maybe others have a mistake. They list the Super Vic carb intake as using the individual o-ring intake gaskets, however they do not have a groove cut in them and need to use Fel-Pro 1312-3. I am not sure if an older version of the Super Vic carb intake had the grooves, but the current version for sure does not.

I know it's not a big deal, but hopefully this information will speed up your installation...and save you another trip to the parts store.

thanks for the heads up for future referance, I didnt realize my Victor Jr would come with intake bolts so i ordered the recommended ARP's and they were way too long. Another reason to check and recheck before ordering parts.

I believe the ARP intake bolts are designed for the factory plastic intake manifold. Eric L

You are correct, it happens when you drink too much beer while ordering parts i geuss lol. AND when you order and u buy the suggested parts because you dont think the supplier would be wrong.

Looking to stay in the 1500-6500 rpm range with a healthy lope and mostly street with a small amount of strip. Which would you recommend? Thanks.

The Vic Jr actually has pretty small runners...

But, to accurately answer your question we'd still need to know more specs on the engine.

Cubic inch, cam size, and compression.

And what is this going in? Do you have hood clearance issues?
