Default 6010/6012 harness extending

Planning my build out and want to try and run my 6010/6012 MSD box inside the cab on 55 bel air is there any problem with just chopping the harness that comes with them and soldering in couple feet of wire to get it all the way in there?

Mine fit into my mustang all the way to the glove box. I'm sure you could extend it with no issue if you do it right.

Mine is mounted near the center/under my dash on my s10, should be plenty left to do it how you are wanting?? I cut a larger hole and used a split grommet from summit, worked good.

Mounted my 6010 in the cab behind the glove box. Plenty of length on all wires EXCEPT the crank trigger. I had to extend those 3 wires to reach. Cut, strip, wrap, solder, heat shrink each new connection, put an extra layer of aluminum heat shield over it. 2300 miles last summer, 0 issues.
