Could someone please let me know the height from the valley cover to the carb pad on the intake. I am in the process of starting a swap and need to know if I can get the vic jr. and carb under my stock hood before I buy the intake. I have a L96 long block here. I am also assuming the valley cover would be a good reference point to measure from.

I believe that is the intake dimension but how does that relate to the valley cover on the block. I assume the intake does not sit down tight to the cover

Is that maybe the measurement for a cathedral port Vic Jr.? The OP would need the measurement for a rectangle port Vic Jr since he has an L96 long block. Mine measures about 6 inches from the valley cover to the carb pad.

For what it's worth, Edelbrock's advertised measurement for the Vic Jr. L92 is 7.4 inches but they measure from the bottom of the intake port flange to the carb pad.
