Default 6.0 with a stiffy...wtf.

Hey guys I got a decent deal on a 06 LQ4 but, there's a problem with the balancer. Where the balancer bolt is located there is a keyed shaft with a nut on the end. I tried removing it while trying not to apply too much pressure, didn't want to break it! I have a couple of 5.3's and a 6.0, none of them had this problem. The other piece on the 2nd picture was on the shaft and I removed it with a puller.


Take a look at pics. What do you suggest?

PTO or hydraulic pump drive if it came out of a cab n chassis or bigger truck?

I thought the PTO ran off the tranny. At least they do off the Allisons.

Default 6-oh fepto?

In the heavy truck industry that is called a FEPTO (Front Engine PTO). But that doesn't look like any sort of drive I have ever seen and I have never seen a FEPTO on a consumer vehicle!? Does it look like a factory option or something that was hacked in after production? And the most important question...Is it going to keep you from using this engine for your swap...NNNAAAHHH!
