Default No power

I have a problem I can't seem to understand or figure out. The end of last year the motor lost power, wouldn't turn the tires over in the water box. Turns out both head gaskets were blown. Put new head gaskets on surfaced the heads, put the new 4500 super Vic on and dominator. Still will not turn the tires over in water, just Boggs down and won't turn the tires. Checked compression, checked timeing in neutral and under load everything looks good. WTH, any ideas?

Sounds like a tune issue.

tell us more about the setup. engine combo

did you go ahead and inspect the entire valve train for other issues?

Bent pushrods, or possibly internal engine damage?

Are you sure there are no vacuum leaks?

Did you pull and inspect your transmission and converter for damage there?

Friend of mine had a similar issue and his converter crapped out on him.
Neutral it would free rev fine, but stick it in gear and it went to **** in a heartbeat.

Inspect the rest of your drivetrain.

Trans, rear end, driveshaft... the whole shooting match.

Does the engine rev up with car in park or neutral?

Does it sound like it has good power?

One easy test as far as the engine is concerned is to run a compression test. That would be a great place to start.

Sounds like a Trans problem to me. I would put money on it being the torque converter.

It is the trans or converter. Hit trans brake set for 3500 and shut the motor OFF at 2000. And just put 2000$ in it last year, SHT!!!
