Default 6010 question

Began tuning my car last night, noticed on the msd tuning software the voltage at the box was fluctuating from 13 volts all the way down to 9.8 volts. Could this be why I can't rev past 3,300 rpm ? I'm using the factory ignition wire from my firewall harness. I've been considering going straight to the battery to a switch for my 12 volt source. Where do all you 6010 owners get you 12V source from ?

Factory ignition wire used to run my old HEI distributor, just not sure it's quite up to par for the 6010's need.

Factory 72 chevelle coil power source would have a had a resistor in it 12 volts for start up then back to lower voltage. I would think the HEI would have had fits with it if it were still on resistor. There were extra "KEYED" (meaning only on while key is turned on forward) accessory outlets on the fuse block for different items that required 12 volts. Use one of them

Have you reset the rev limiter through the box yet? From the factory it is 5500. Not sure if your tach may be off somehow.

Yeah, I have the rev hi to 6,800 rpm and the rev low isn't wired up yet. I'll run my 12 volt wire to my fuse panel today and try it.

Also had my friend watch the box data with the laptop and it showed 3,300 rpm also.
