Smile LSX 383 help!!

Need help with block options for 383 build, K1 forged crank and rods, diamond forged dome Pistons, dart pro 1 heads, should I stick to 5.3 iron block or save and but summit racing ls1 aluminum block? Please help!!

1/8 only no street use, going in a fiberglassed and caged 1990 Honda crx
