Also curious what kind of timing curve works best here. I have a stock 5.3 with the exception of longtubes. Running Daytona smart spark curve #6 for now (2.7* cranking 15* idling and 22* WOT) with the stock GM MAP sensor.

On my 6010 I'm runing the #1 curve. Stock 5.3 with long tubes, holley single plane and proform 750 carb. Runs good. Only has about 10 miles on it though. Havnt messed around with it too much

Thanks for your input, Kenny. I looked at both the MSD and Daytona pre-set timing curves(no MAP), and they are worlds apart. Curve #1 on the MSD gives 12* cranking but then ramps up to 30* at 3000rpm. Curve #9 on the Daytona only gives 4* cranking and a max of 25 at 3000rpm. 25 seems normal WOT timing for a stock engine, but I feel like it should have more initial timing. I don't know if the MAP sensor is the key component on the Daytona box, giving it more timing to compensate, or if you're required to log your own timing for optimal performance.
