Is that 950cfm carb a newer HP big venturi deal(1.60") or a smaller 1.36" venture/850 1-3/4" baseplate combo??
Thanks

I couldn't really tell you crossbreed. If I remember right, the venturi in my old ultra HP was 1.6, and I am pretty sure this one isn't as big. I traded for this carb when I couldn't make the E85 carb work that I paid right at 900 bucks for. I just as well threw that money in the trash. I like this gas Pro Systems carb 10 times better.

You may have to take some spring rate out of the frt end as well if its a coil over setup?
ok.....racing is still going here, BUT temps are getting cold. The track is prepping, but even low 7 second cars are spinning some with full slicks. I have still got the car to 60 in the 1.25-1.26 range, it will only get it done in time trials. It seems like as the cool temps come, it stops working first round of eliminations. This weekend was going to be a 5.90. It usually goes 6.teen off the trailer and then picks up on the 2nd pass. This time It went 6.07 off the trailer, spun the next run 6.33, then hooked great ran 6.06. 4th pass broke the ring gear.
We changed the gear at the track with another 4.30, made it up for 1 time trial and spun. I wasn't gonna enter the race, but buddies talked me into it. First round guy went red on me, I spun. I dialed it up next run, spun and couldn't run him down. He was a 7.2 car on slicks, he spun too. Now granted, my tires are very well used. I put them on in April of 2015, they have 4-500 passes on them, 28x9 pbr. They still look like they have lots of life. I have a boy giving me a set of 275 pro drag radials, they are closer to 11 inches wide. We are hoping they will get us down the track good enough to get our 5 second time slip. I debated trying my old Hoosier 275s, but I am afraid with the power I have now, and the cold temps, I will never hook it.
The plan over the winter is to try and get some Viking doubles for the rear and hopefully some new tires.

Crossbreed, you have me wondering if my front springs are borderline tight, and if I could switch to some 110s, maybe I could tighten front struts a little and still get on the back tire a little easier?

On my car with the aluminum block it liked the 110s
Then when I put the current Iron SBE 6.0 in it, I tried the light springs and it didn't like them at all
Put the 140's back in and it was a different car??
Try em and see I suppose

New parts this week are.....295/55/15 Hoosier drag radials(28 inch tall, 10.25 tread width) new 28x10 6.5 bs wheels to replace my 8 inch wheels(trying to get as much tread on track as I can) and new Viking double adjustable rear shocks. Hoping to find some consistency and get down the track more passes. Next on the List may be some Lighter frt springs to assist getting on the rear tire. Maybe then I can tighten the front, and it will give me some adjustment for a little worse track conditions. If needed. hopefully we will catch the track open here in the next few weeks.
