Yeah you can fit the 26x8x15. I will post some pics. The 255/60/15 I have on my Camaro. They are 27.1" tall tho. Would take a bit of trimming. My dad has 235/60/15 MT DR's on his 72. Real nice fit.

Here my tube chassis Vega. I have an LT1 engine from a 2014 Corvette that I was going to use but I might end up going LS with it as it is a lot cheaper in the long run. Bob

Thanks but no interest in those race cars. I am going to keep this lil guys and build it in my spare time. For me that half the fun of this hobby. Will it cost more..yes... But I will get exacty what I want.

I will for sure keep this thread updated. First need to sell my sbc parts to fund the junkyard LS stuff. Nothing will be exotic on this build...most likely a TH350/TH400.....S10 10 bolt rear end. One nice thing the prior owner did upgrade the upper/lower control arms to fully adjustable UMI tubular ones. It will get some subframe connectors and a 6 point bar.

Back in the late 80's my girlfriend gave me a v6 monza.Me and my brother built a transmission for it that would bark 2nd,we laughed everytime it shifted. I then found a monza 2+2 factory V8 car. We were going to drop in a built 400sb in it.
Same car for the most part, fun times.Good luck with your build it should be fun.

Very important thing to remember upgrade the brakes. I built many v8 vegas the only problem are the stock brakes suck. Also a 6 point cage keeps the car doors from not opening I found a cage works better than sub frame connectors and also keeps you safe.

The car is getting all S10 5 lug stuff so no stock brakes. It will have a some type of cage not sure to what extend and subframe connectors.

Nice I dig those Monzas too! My dad's 72 have a nice built 406 sbc in it. I was really on the fence about what motor to put in it. I have a 406 sbc on a stand at home that needs to be gone thru but figured try something new and go LS!
