Hey I looked at a 91 Z28 TPI 305 this past weekend. Its an M5 with a Hurst Shifter and new clutch. I think the guy said it has 3.73s in it. It started up then died and when we tried to restart it the ground wire started smoking. The ground wire is on the AC unit, not the block. Thats probally the problem. Its Ultra Blue. Needs a hood, the doors adjusted, pass door painted, good sized dent behind pass door fixed and a damn good cleaning. Its a T-Top car and they leak so the carpet needs to be replaced and it needs quite a few interior pieces. Guy said he as two exhaust for it, Flowmaster and Borla. Didnt look at them so I dont know if there cat-backs or just mufflers. So the car definitely needs some work. He wants $800 for it. Sorry no pics. What do you guys think.

that sounds like a OK deal needing alot of little work -if you dont mind it I like third gens- had a 87 T/A for years. Fix her up parts are reasonable - things I would add: SFC, strut tower brace, wonder bar-if it dosent have it makes a world of difference tightening up the ride! things that suck about third gens- engine R+R, exhaust- they need headers and dual cats badly! I'd pick something like that up if I didnt have 3-4 other projects in line - good luck!

I thought the 91 & 92 Z/28's had 5.7's in them, not a 305?

I love the rear spoiler & hood on those. A woman at work had a black one in mint condition.

Yes 350 was an option but you couldn't get a 5 speed with the 350. Not one third gen from the factory with a 350 had a manual trans. Which sucks.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. You will have to put some money into it, but if you like 3rd gens then this sounds like a good deal. Also it sounds like a good candidate for LSX/T56 swap.
