Default Ok I am new here but I have a question for everyone...

Ok so a buddy of mine has a 1997 Firehawk which has an LT4 in it with around 385 horses. He is swapping that out with a 6.2 corvette engine his friend is giving him. Now he is selling me the motor/tranny/suspension/rear-end/ECM/wire-harness etc.. for 5 grand which is a steal especially for the motor only having 27,000 miles on it.

Here is the kicker, I have 1995 3.4L V6 camaro.. Although his friend owns a shop and basically will do the swap, is there anything I should know before doing this or any complications I may run into, or am i good to go?

Are you sure it's a LT4? There were so very few of them built that I find it hard to believe someone would rip one apart.

08 vette has an LS3 436hp 6.2L engine.

On a 97 Hawk, I would put the engine away, not sell it.

+1. The LT4 is very rare and the second fastest F-body ever made. I saw one at the track last year (1997 Camaro SS) go 13.1 at 107 stock. The only issue was the guy had more stickers on it than a ricemobile.
